Description

This photo has been shooted on the morning on the Srre-Ponçon Lake from the west side toward the south east. You can see the two valleys. On the left side in the direction of Savines and on the rigt side the Ubaye valley.

In front in the middle the peak is Morgon that you aleady know from previous deviation I posted some weeks ago.

This type of light is rare and difficult to capture. I have used three exposures (+2, 0,-2) and assembled it through HDR process.

Feel free to comment and let me know your impression

When I saw the thumbnail the sun rays were already pretty eye catching.
When I opened the full sized picture I could barely believe its real. I am not brown nosing or anything.. I did really think this would be a perfect 3D Animation! But for that its way to real... This picture just confused me for a while and I couldnt get my eyes off it.. I still cant!

It seems to have its own little natural symmetry through the way the mountains are 'placed' and how the sun rays shine through the clouds.

I love how the fog gives an awesome contrast between the mountains. Also the reflection of the mountains on the water looks simply amazing. It seems so clear and the water itself seems so super calm.

The whole picture is simply stunning. It must have been awesome to see that in real ( the picture captures it already pretty good but to see it real is still different.. well I think you know what I mean)

A pity that the full-sized picture is not bigger! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":blushes:" title="Blush"/>
